The DANNEMANN Group in Finland is looking for a Country Manager Finland & Duty-Free Scandinavia to join our energetic, change-driven team of experts. You will be part of the Finnish team, operating within the Area Northern Europe (NEU).

As Country Manager Finland & DT Scandinavia, you will be responsible for implementing and further developing the market strategies and annual plans for both Finland and DT Scandinavia. You will also ensure seamless communication with our importer/distributor regarding marketing activities, brand updates and all relevant commercial information, with a clear mandate to:

• Implementation of DANNEMANN Group Strategy: implementation and further development of Finland and DF Scandinavia market strategies, yearly plans and transfer information to the importer/distributor regarding advertising and brand information
• Leading and managing all marketing activities for Finland & DF Scandinavia; consumer and trade plans, increasing POS visibility (within legal framework). Leading brand portfolio development specific to the markets
• Initiating and developing new and creative ideas with the distributor on how to maximize communication with potential consumers of our brands within the legal restrictions
• Market observation and collection of market-relevant data in Finland & DF Scandinavia; both shipments and distributor sales & monitoring competitors. Analysing cigarillo market regarding relevant information about total market and competitive products and brands

Key Responsibilities

• Support in the preparation of the marketing and promotion budget and forecast including deviation analyses and proposed measures regarding marketing & promotion
• Consultation of the importer regarding optimal product storage, merchandise management, quality assurance and assortment optimization 
• Regular non direct or indirect visits of the top tobacco stores with the aim of advising on assortment and new products; trade training, advising on stock control and arrangement of marketing materials for tobacco stores
• Ensuring increase of consumer satisfaction
• Maintaining close liaison with the responsible International Brand Manager for marketing consistency and regular reporting to Area Director and Global Brand Directors.
• Budget planning, control, forecast & reporting
• Preparation of KPIs for Finland & DF Scandinavia market including analyses to Area Directors and Global Brand Directors
• Operational tasks related to the business e.g. invoice control, payments approvals

What we expect from you?

• Min. 5 years’ experience in Sales & Marketing
• Min. 3 years’ experience in a leadership position, leading a team
• Excellent understanding of commercial and consumer aspects of branded FMCG market in Finland and DF Scandinavia
• Deep knowledge and experience in formulating business strategies
• P&L understanding
• Clear communicator, confident working cross-functionally and internationally.
• Structured, analytical, proactive – with a hands-on mindset and a drive for improvement.
• Resilience and absolute sense of responsibility
• Extensive travelling within Finland and DF Scandinavia is requested, regular travel within Europe for meetings/presentations
• Fluency in Finnish & English. Swedish is considered as a plus.

What we offer

The work will begin as agreed, and the position is a full-time permanent employment. The recruitment is carried out in cooperation with StaffPoint, and the selected person will be employed directly by Ritmeester B.V. (RIT) which is 100% owned by the DANNEMANN Group.
