Payroll & HR Consultant, Espoo
We are now looking for a Payroll & HR Consultant for our client, a global pharmaceutical company, to join a project lasting at least two years.
In this role, you will act as the main point of contact and process owner for outsourced payroll across the Nordics (Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway). Your key responsibility is to ensure payroll data accuracy and timeliness, oversee payroll-related processes, and contribute to their continuous improvement.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Acting as the liaison with the outsourced payroll provider in the Nordic countries
- Reviewing payroll materials (e.g. bonuses, allowances, other compensations) and ensuring their correctness and timely delivery
- Qualify input and output from local authorities on employee related matters eg. sick leave, maternity leave, etc.
- Acting as a subject-matter expert on employer compensations beyond base salary
- Driving payroll process development and supporting the implementation of potential process changes
- Ensure system and employee handbook updates on payroll related topics.
- Ensuring alignment between payroll processes and finance/accounting requirements
What we expect from you:
- Experience working in a Nordic environment (Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway)
- Solid understanding of payroll processes, employment agreements, and collective agreements
- Ability to see payroll in the wider context of financial processes
- Strong attention to detail combined with a process-oriented mindset
- Fluency in English and one other Nordic language (Swedish, Danish or Norwegian)
Previous hands-on payroll experience is preferred how ever more importantly is your ability to understand payroll processes and act as a knowledgeable partner in a complex international environment.
