Our in-house product is a comprehensive HR and payroll system that covers an intranet, an extranet, browser and mobile applications together with their APIs and integrations.

We are looking for two experienced backend developers to strengthen our product development. You will get to do meaningful work on a system used daily by thousands of people to manage their shifts, salaries and HR matters.

We offer a permanent, full-time position. The work starts by agreement and can be done from anywhere in Finland.

The work is active and varied. Your responsibilities will include, among other things:

• Developing and maintaining the backend: payroll, HR processes, APIs for mobile, browser, and integrations.
• Taking part in architecture discussions and code reviews.
• Contributing to the modernization of the system (e.g. framework and cloud migration, updating libraries, increasing test coverage, incremental refactoring).
• Mentoring and sparring with more junior developers.

What we expect:

• At least 3 years of strong experience in C# and .NET – we value skill, not years.
• Good SQL and relational database skills (preferably MS SQL).
• Experience building web APIs (REST).
• Willingness and ability to work also on a 15-year-old application, not only on greenfield projects.
• Collaboration skills, good communication and senior-level ownership.
• English is sufficient as a working language; Finnish is a plus.

Considered a plus:

• Skilled prompting of GitHub Copilot.
• Experience with Entity Framework 6 and/or EF Core.
• ASP.NET MVC 5 / Web API 2, Razor, Autofac.
• Azure (App Service, Blob Storage, Functions, Key Vault, SQL).
• Experience with .NET Framework → .NET 10 migrations.
• Knowledge of payroll or HR domain (collective agreements, working time, payroll calculation).
• Routine in unit and integration testing, CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
